I am a kind man, a Christian, devoted to my faith but not totally devoted!!
I would not hurt a fly, I like to make people happy, I hate to see suffering, I dislike rudeness and feel there is too much yobbish behaviour about. I am a little shy but enjoy a laugh.
I like to walk, especially in the countryside, along a sandy beach or through a forest or on hills and near lakes.
I was a chef for 20 years and I still enjoy experimenting at home by cooking all sorts of foreign dishes. I am really keen to travel more. India, China, Russia and Egypt appeal for starters.
I also have an interest in Buddhism as it is so full of love and devotion to all living beings. I love to help those less priviliged than our selves. I would like to go on some retreats to help orphaned children, abused women and the homeless or sick. May be in India, Tibet and South America.
I am training to become a counsellor, helping those with drink and drug problems, so I am not employed at the moment, but I hope to qualify soon and get back to work.
I enjoy gardening, visiting old buildings; cathedrals, country estates and gardens and castles.
I do a bit of gardening at my beautiful local village church.
I have never been married and have no children. I would like to change these two points!
I am a loyal, romantic man and once I relax and get over my initial shyness I am a nice man to be with, and enjoy a chin wag and a good time. I like to keep fit, I am always on a diet, but chocolate keeps jumping in my mouth....nightmare!!
