I Would Describe Myself As Attractive, fit & intelligent female looking for a secure man that is not threatened by my independence. I work 2 jobs and only socialize with friends, which makes dating difficult. I have never been married because I think that marriage is a very serious commitment and should not be taken lightly. I have 1 child, a 22 year-old daughter who just graduated from college and does not live at home. My time with her is very important & we have a great relationship. I am a college graduate and work fulltime for a major brokerage firm. I love old movies and TV shows. I am a "wealth of useless trivia", that is a hobby of mine. I prefer reading or spending time with friends & family over spending time on the internet. I love theater; esp.: Shakespeare, musicals, & murder mysteries. I am smart, but not an "intellectual snob", that type irritates me. I like art, but usually not modern art. I have tons of books and enjoy reading, when I have time. I am not into romance novels, or fiction. except for Steven King. I am extremely self-reliant. I have fixed cars, sinks, plumbing, etc. I own my own home that I purchase on my own and am very proud of. I have several charities that I raise money for and contribute to. My charity work is very important to me. I am not rich in the monetary sense, but I do live comfortably and have successfully raised my daughter on my own. Money alone does not impress me; how one lives their life and treats others is what I look at. I am a firm believer in Karma and Kismet and practice ?paying it forward?. I have gone through some rough times in my life where someone has helped me in some way that got me through it and for that I am grateful. Some lose sight of what truly is important and ?forget where they came from? and lose touch with their true self. I have a firm sense of self and have a wonderful circle of friends and family that help keep me grounded. I have a great sense of humor and love making people laugh, esp. people who do not get to laugh very much because of circumstances in their life. I am looking for someone who is ready for a serious commitment that may or may not lead to marriage. I am not one for monopolizing a man?s time and like time for myself also. I do not want to rush into anything right away and like to take my time getting to know someone. I think that a healthy relationship is one that both parties have separate and mutual interests and activities without either party feeling threatened or neglected. I am a very unconventional woman that is looking for someone to spend time with and possibly build a mutually enriching relationship with. I am not into anything strange, kinky, etc. I have friends in law enforcement and am very careful whom I associate with, which is why I have never participated in anything like this esp. on the internet. I am wise to the games of con men, hustlers, & grifters. So if you think that I am some stupid desperate female that is ripe for the picking, think again. I am ?street savvy? and have spent time with people who make a living investigating, arresting & prosecuting criminals of all types. I have also spent time with those on the other side of the law and know the tricks, stories and mode of operation of the criminal mind. I am not nieve and do not trust right away, until I know someone very well and have checked them out completely. I do not believe everything that I hear and need to ?see it to believe it?; but if it is too good to be true, I still do not believe it until I get more concrete evidence. I just want to get this point across right away. I do not care if I ever get married. So those who prey on the desperate females, who are under the misconception that you need a man in your life to be complete, can, forget contacting me. I will be your worst nightmare.
