I would look for someone who would be supportive (not financially) with my educational goals. I would want someone to encourage me if I ever think I finish my program. I would want someone to understand that I am my own person: I had a life before I met you and you are an addition to my life not a takeover. I would want someone to perfectly understands that my son and my family come before anything else as your family comes first to you. I need someone easy going who does not snap when things don't go as planned. I definitely DO NOT need someone who is controlling. I've done just fine in my life. I've been independent for the last 7 years and am perfectly happy. Sorry if this sounds so harsh. I am somewhat cynical when it comes to dating.
